Rob Whiteman graduated from the Gestalt Institute of Toronto and started his private practice in 2018. Since then, he has facilitated and co-led groups, workshops, and seminars around the GTA.

With a Bachelor of Business Administration, Rob’s journey to becoming a therapist was not a straight line. He has worked in many fields, including the automotive industry, sales, management, tech services, and photography. He is able to draw on this varied life experience in his practice to understand the nuanced and practical considerations of everyday life.

Having grown up in small-town Ontario, Rob relocated to Toronto in 2012 to experience a more diverse and culturally-rich landscape and relished in the opportunity to experience the hustle and bustle of city life. It was here that he had the fortunate opportunity to train with and learn from some of the leading professionals in Gestalt Therapy locally and from around the world.

Now located in Owen Sound, Ontario, Rob is continuing to develop his work through a renewed interest in connecting to the natural world and integrating elements of Gestalt Practice as developed at the Esalen Instutute in Big Sur, California.

He divides his time between seeing clients, walking his dog, hiking, and staring into the night sky.
